P&L is a supplier of etched metal products, both for architectural signage as well as for personal use............ Etched metal plaques are made by acid-etching graphic images into sheets of brass or stainless steel, as well as bronze and copper, reproduced by exposing a piece of film onto a photosensitive metal plate............. Panels can accommodate hundreds of crisp, legible names............ The etching process permits exact reproduction of most artwork, including halftones...........

Etched Plaques Mounting Methods

Double Faced Tape
Double faced tape is the standard mounting method for etched plaques unless otherwise specified.

Stud Mount
Threaded studs is an optional available mount. When studs are specified, if the material is 1/4", the plaque will be drilled and tapped for studs. If the plaque is less than 1/4" thick, studs will be spot welded on the back.

Bonding cement or silicone adhesive secures the studs within the drilled holes.

Studs not recommended on material 1/16” thick due to “dimpling” on the etching face. 1/16" thick: Tape only.

Silicone Mount
Silicone adhesive may be provided if specified for etched plaques. This is an effective mounting method, although is best when combined with double-faced tape.

Holes Through Face
Any etched plaque can be provided with holes through the face for mechanical fasteners if requested.  Hardware can be provided upon request. Specify screw type, material, size, length, head style and finish, and whether or not the holes need to be countersunk.
