PictureCast plaques' primary purpose is to transcend the cost & schedule limitations of traditional cast bas relief plaques. They are ideal if there is an image involved, and you desire a sculptural effect for your portrait. Price is primarily based on size of plaque measured in square inches (sq."); two pictures allowed:

Bronze: Below 160 sq": $6.70 per sq. inch (psi); Above 160 sq": $5.00 psi. Aluminum: Below 160 sq": $5.00 psi; Above 160 sq": $4.00 psi. Additional images are $250 each. Price will increase for any photo retouching.

Below comparison pricing examples are just that: Twelve potential size examples. Their SOLE purpose is to indicate the cost advantage of PictureCast plaques vs. conventionally-cast bronze bas reliefs. We offer both. Largest size PictureCast: 72" x 36".

NOTE I: Clay Molded Bas Relief plaques pricing in grey column below is based on the image being 6"-9" Tall. Enlarging the image/portrait size increases costs.

NOTE II: After reaching the 20" x 26" size & beyond, pricing below applies to "Isolated text area" plaques; "Inscription over imaged area" plaques cost more.

Price Point: At this point, a true bas relief is quite viable compared to a PictureCast IF the true bas portrait remains in the 6"-9" Tall range. The main reasons now for a PictureCast are 1) Quicker Schedule, 2) Image Fidelity & 3) If your portrait is larger than 6"-9", which increases the sculpting charge for true bas. Conversely, the size of your pictorial for PictureCast plaques has NO price impact.
