Plastic Architecural Letters are a sensible alternative to Metal Letters.......... The cost is relatively inexpensive, certainly compared to metal letters, but the look is surprisingly effective............We offer three types of plastic letters: .........Flat Cut Metal-Faced & Mirror-Faced Laminate, Formed Plastic and Flat Cut Acrylic................

Plastic Letters Installation Methods

Stud Mount: Installation patterns are used with stud installations. Provided at additional cost of $.40 per inch tall, up to max of $4.00 per letter. Patterns indicate with little dots • • • • • where to drill (best into mortar joints, hammer drill preferred) your holes on the mounting surface. Studs are supplied and attached to the back of the letter after receipt. Insert the studded letters into the holes you've drilled & cleaned out, using silicone to secure.

Materials & tools may include: Letters, Installation Template or Spacing Tape, Turkey Baster or Compressed Air, Bolt Cutters, Wrench, Studs, Nuts and Washers (or pads), Shims, Masking Tape, Silicone Adhesive, Drill and Bits, Safety Glasses, Shop Brush, Level and Ladder.

Mounting Variations For Formed Plastic Letters:

Plain Mount is no mounting hardware. Not recommended for anything but flat cut letters.

Stud Mount is a 3/16" diameter 10-24 stud coming out the back. You can request spacers to allow your letter to stand off the mounting surface. Indicate how much standoff you would like. Pattern Needed.

Pad Mount is a clear plastic pad in which you apply clear silicone adhesive and tape the letter up (6-12 hours) until the silicone dries.

Combination Mount is a stud going through a pad on the top half of the letter & a pad mount on the bottom half. You drill a 1/4" diameter hole to accommodate the stud. Fill hole with silicone and silicone the pad to the surface. Pattern Needed.

Combination All Mount is a stud going through a pad on all locations. You would drill a 1/4" diameter hole to accommodate the stud. Fill hole with silicone. Pattern Needed.

Flange Mount The plastic has not been trimmed flush to the wall of the letter, leaving a flange through which small screws can be inserted to attach the letters to the mounting surface.

This type of mount is only available for letter heights of 6" or more. This mount is best suited for very large letters as the flange becomes less & less noticeable when the letter size increases.

                                         How to install:

Check installation template (mounting pattern) before the installation.
